Hi Sarel here from Delmas South Africa I just want to find a solution for the following issue I bought a 2006 Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD. The problem that i have the car tested and drive 100%. Yesterday i decided to wash the engine, (fuse fox and connectors and ecu was covered with a plastic bags). My JTD (2005) has the following faultcodes: P0120 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit. P0641 - Sensor Reference Voltage "A" Circuit/Open. I've replaced a few connectors, throttle pedal inclusive sensor, MAF, Atomizers (2x), and I did this because the throttle didn't respond. It idles 1200RPM and there is no reaction whatsoever. Your camshaft sprocket is at least one tooth wrong. It needs to be exactly in line with the pointer. You need to align the straight edge through the center of the camshaft bolt and the mark on the sprocket and the pointer on the plastic cover. Only way to ensure the crankshaft sprocket is aligned and can't move Jtd meets phase 3 emission standards, and if serviced regularly and maintained by cleaning the system works well, its when it isnt cleaned this can cause problems. Diesel particulate filters on fiat vehicles are used on phase 4 emission standard engines, and use the filter to trap the particulates released by the phase 3 emission engines. Open the clip of the plug with the help of a screw driver. Put the cable out of the way. Then remove the switch with a 19mm ring wrench rotating it counter clockwise. It must rotate more or less easily. Insert the new one from ebay (3x cheaper than in Fiat). Assemble all back and the reverse light will work again. If it is smooth at higher revs, it can still be low compression, years ago I had a Ford V6 that I hammered down the motorway and the next day it wouldn't tickover, I had broken the compression rings on two cylinders. It turned out the engine had not been driven hard before and there was a wear PgSBpB.
